The supernumerary quota which is allotted by the Institutes of India for the Non-Resident Indians (NRI) is known as the NRI quota. In a few particular schemes (of such Quota), the Persons of Indian Origin (PIO), & Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) can also apply.
Such reputed Institutes may take admissions of NRI Students under either management quota or NRI Quota. In both such cases, fees for the entire course is a bit higher than the general students' fees.
NRI Quota in IITs
IITs are the foremost choice among NRIs and International candidates. IITs are the prominent institutions that offer the best Engineering courses in India.
There is no NRI Quota available in IITs. IITs do not accept DASA/CIWG & NRI Quota. All NRI students will be the same as Indian students.
